Comments

The comment feed on Facebook posts of connected pages, plus automatic moderation rules for it.

Access

AdminRead-onlyManagerRead-onlyTeam Lead BuyerOwnBuyerOwn

Team Lead Buyer and Buyer work with comments only on the pages of their own Facebook accounts, with no team-wide access. Admin and Manager see the feed and moderation rules of the whole company read-only, with team and user filters.

Screen blocks

  • Comments — a post feed that expands into a comment tree (up to 3 nesting levels); filters — search, page, post type, status, visibility; 6 counter tiles (Total, New, Under review, Approved, Deleted, Hidden in Facebook).
  • Moderation → Global rules — 5 auto-delete categories, each with an "Auto-delete" toggle: Spam & links, Short or emoji-only, Custom keywords (a phrase list), Profanity and Hate & harassment — the last two are "In development".
  • Moderation → Page overrides — override the same categories for a specific page when its behavior needs to differ from the global rules.
  • Comment card — Approve/Unapprove, Delete, Hide/Show in Facebook, Reply, Edit (own page comments only) + bulk actions on selected comments.

Statuses

  • New — a new comment that hasn't been reviewed yet.
  • Under review — the comment was already reviewed and put back in the queue (Unapprove) — currently the only way to get this status until auto-moderation lands.
  • Deleted — removed on Facebook. The action can't be undone, and the comment can no longer be selected for actions.
  • Approved — manually marked as a good comment; reversible (Unapprove).

Scenario — «Set up spam auto-deletion and clear the new comments»

  1. "Moderation" → enable the global categories you need (e.g. "Spam & links", "Short or emoji-only") and save.
  2. Add "Custom keywords" if needed — one phrase per line.
  3. Go back to "Comments" and filter by the "New" status.
  4. Handle comments manually: Reply, Approve or Delete.

Good to know

  • Status (in TitanTrack) and "Hidden in Facebook" are two independent axes: hiding doesn't move a comment out of New, and a hidden comment can still be approved.
  • A comment that matches an enabled rule is deleted directly on Facebook — this can't be undone.
  • "Profanity" and "Hate & harassment" are "In development" categories: the toggle is visible, but the rule doesn't act yet.
  • Edit is only available on comments written by the page itself; Reply can be left on any comment. Facebook doesn't allow editing someone else's comment.
  • The comment author sometimes shows as "Unknown" — the Facebook Graph API withholds third-party authors while the app isn't on Advanced Access.
  • The keyword list is shared across every page where the category is enabled — including a page where it's on only via an override while the global toggle is off.
